Following the devastating floods in Golaghat district, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited affected areas and relief camps to assess the situation. He engaged with flood victims and inspected camps in Sarupathar, Morongi, and Bokakhat revenue circles. The CM instructed officials to assess damage, provide compensation, and address erosion issues. He assured financial assistance for those whose homes were destroyed. Health camps were also reviewed to ensure adequate healthcare access, especially for pregnant women, the elderly, and children. Discussions were held on long-term solutions, including an embankment project on the Dhansiri River.
