Authorities in Himachal Pradesh have taken a government school teacher into custody after 24 female students accused him of sexual harassment. The students, from classes 8 to 10, filed a complaint detailing inappropriate physical contact by the teacher, specifically mentioning incidents during a school program. Following the complaints, the parents of the students protested, and legal action was swiftly taken. The teacher now faces charges under relevant sections of the law, including the POCSO Act, and is currently under police custody for three days. The Director of School Education has ordered a preliminary inquiry and the teacher has been suspended.
