The Saryu River’s tragic decline has sparked outrage from Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad, who holds the government’s flawed decisions responsible. Once a lifeline for Ayodhya, the river’s depleted waters have diverted towards Gonda, endangering its very survival.
In forthright remarks, Prasad depicted Ram Ki Paidi’s desolation—no natural flow, just handpump water symbolizing administrative failure. ‘BJP’s fake pledges betray the public,’ he charged, emphasizing a disconnect from genuine welfare.
Rooted in scripture, he pushed for official recognition as Saryu over Ghaghara. ‘Samajwadi rule will rename it overnight and enhance its legacy,’ he guaranteed. He advocated realigning the stream to Ayodhya for devotees’ ease.
On Ayodhya’s bulldozer saga, Prasad recalled his persistent parliamentary advocacy. ‘Dwellings demolished, properties usurped—these vile acts erode Ayodhya’s prestige,’ he declared, planning talks with Akhilesh Yadav and public outreach to expose the wrongs.
