Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel scripted history in Gujarat’s rural landscape by remotely laying the e-foundation for 2666 integrated panchayat homes and patwari residences from Bhadran in Anand. This Rs 663 crore endeavor, unveiled Friday, directly supports PM Narendra Modi’s blueprint for empowered villages under Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Articulating the state’s dedication, Patel said Gujarat is pioneering the PM’s full-coverage model. The sweeping policy guarantees standalone buildings for all gram panchayats, revolutionizing local administration and service accessibility.
Amidst dignitaries like Ministers Rishikesh Patel, Ramanbhai Solanki, and Sanjay Singh Mahida, Patel unveiled the Mukhyamantri Gramotthan Yojana. Its inaugural thrust covers 114 taluka villages sans municipalities, infusing them with sophisticated amenities—superior connectivity, water security, cleanliness drives, solar illumination, e-gram portals, and communal venues.
The scheme eyes expansion to 10,000+ populated panchayats, promoting balanced development that honors PM Modi’s ethos of collective progress and trust. Patel credited Modi’s stewardship for unprecedented growth velocity, channeling focus to villages against urban sprawl.
Pivoting to eco-resilience, the ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign accelerates rainwater capture and groundwater revival via Rs 50 lakh per MLA allocations. Championing Gau-based natural agriculture, Patel rallied for fertile soils and disease-free futures.
On Martyrs’ Day cum Gandhi Nirvana Diwas, tributes flowed for sacrifices and Bapu’s village-centric ideals, fueling modern self-governance. Rural Minister Rishikesh Patel hailed the 2666-project kickoff under CM leadership, aspiring for 10,000 advanced secretariats to embody ‘the soul of India is in its villages,’ while felicitating exemplary sarpanchs.
