Navi Mumbai bore the brunt of heavy rainfall on Tuesday, leading to widespread waterlogging in numerous areas. This caused substantial traffic congestion, affecting the daily commute of residents and employees. The IMD has put Raigad, Thane, and Ratnagiri on high alert, issuing a red alert for these districts. The downpour also impacted air travel, resulting in flight delays and schedule adjustments. Several subways had to be shut down due to flooding. IndiGo issued an advisory, citing temporary disruptions to flight schedules in Mumbai, urging travelers to anticipate delays and plan accordingly. Mumbai Traffic Police also provided updates on traffic situations, including the closure of the Andheri Subway and the implementation of traffic diversions via Gokhale Bridge.
