Highway Heroes Season 2, a collaborative effort by TV9 Network and Shriram Finance, reached a milestone. The program aimed to honor and support truck drivers, crucial to India’s economy. The initiative focused on enhancing the financial, mental, and physical well-being of truck drivers, and improving their technical skills. Hundreds of drivers underwent training through the Logistics Skill Council (LSC), receiving Level-4 certificates. These certificates hold the same value as a 12th-grade education and will aid in career advancement and license renewals. The closing ceremony featured discussions by industry experts on improving the lives of truck drivers. Twelve drivers were acknowledged for their contributions. The program incorporated health check-ups, yoga, TB awareness campaigns, financial literacy guidance, and career counseling to offer comprehensive support. The Minister of State, Harsh Malhotra, commended the initiative, highlighting its role in recognizing the contributions of truck drivers.
