Kishan has been condemned to death following his acid attack on his wife, Laxmi, in Rajasthan. The couple’s relationship was strained by Kishan’s constant criticisms of Laxmi’s dark complexion and physical appearance, which led to regular arguments and physical confrontations. On the night of the incident, Kishan told his wife he had applied medication on her body. Laxmi noticed an acidic odor, but Kishan disregarded her concerns and lit an incense stick on her stomach, causing her body to catch fire. He then poured the remaining liquid over her while she burned. The tragic event resulted in her death. Kishan was charged at the Vallabhnagar police station in Udaipur, and the case was brought to the Additional District Judge Court. The prosecutor stated the attack was motivated by the victim’s complexion, and the judge stated that the death penalty was imposed to reinforce the authority of the court.
