The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has alerted the Delhi-NCR region, including Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad, about heavy rainfall due to ongoing monsoon activity in North India. The forecast for Delhi predicts heavy rain. The initial days of September presented an unusual situation for students in multiple states, as significant monsoon rains caused schools to close, providing students an extended reprieve from their academic commitments. Delhi has experienced continuous rainfall since Monday morning. The Yamuna River’s water level at the Old Railway Bridge (ORB) reached 204.87 meters by noon, approaching the official danger mark of 205.33 meters. Officials have warned that the river level might exceed 206 meters by Tuesday evening, a level considered critical, prompting precautionary measures in vulnerable areas.
