The resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar from the office of Vice President has prompted the beginning of discussions about the next Vice President. The opposition alliance, known as the INDIA bloc, is actively preparing for the election. According to reports, a meeting of the INDIA bloc leaders is scheduled for next week to determine their candidate for the Vice President. The meeting is tentatively planned for August 18th and 19th. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has been assigned the task of consulting with all the constituent parties within the bloc. Prior to this, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and KC Venugopal held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss strategies for the Vice Presidential election.
