An important international summit focused on achieving peace in Gaza is set to convene in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been formally invited to this event by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Although PM Modi will not personally attend, India’s representation will be ensured through Minister of State Kirti Vardhan Singh, as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs. This pivotal summit, co-chaired by former US President Donald Trump and President El-Sisi, will convene leaders from more than 20 countries. Notable attendees expected include UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, along with leaders from the UK, Italy, Spain, and France. The summit’s agenda centers on finalizing a peace agreement to conclude the war in Gaza, with a focus on establishing a new era of security and stability across the Middle East. This aligns with visions for regional peace and extensive efforts to resolve global conflicts.
