Over 2,500 Indian citizens have been safely repatriated from Iran through Operation Sindhu. The evacuees have conveyed their thanks for the government’s assistance and their safe return. One evacuee, Saiyada Jeniffer Rizvi, spoke about the difficult circumstances in Iran and the crucial role of the Indian Embassy in helping them. Another evacuee, Kasim, shared his happiness to be home and praised the evacuation arrangements. Syed Mehboob from Ladakh, also voiced his gratitude to the embassy for their help. A recent flight brought back 281 Indian nationals, along with three Sri Lankans and two Nepalese citizens, bringing the total number of evacuees under Operation Sindhu to 2576, according to the Ministry of External Affairs. The Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, affirmed the Indian government’s commitment to aiding those in need and extending support to neighboring countries. The MEA reiterated that Operation Sindhu is dedicated to assisting every Indian national seeking evacuation and is prepared to offer assistance to neighboring countries.
