External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, speaking to Le Figaro, addressed a range of topics, including India’s foreign policy priorities. Jaishankar highlighted the strong partnership between India and France, mentioning collaborations in various sectors. He reiterated that the Kashmir issue is a result of terrorism. Jaishankar warned that India would retaliate against terrorist attacks, even if it meant pursuing them in Pakistan. He commented on China’s role, India-US relations, and the ongoing Ukraine conflict. Jaishankar also spoke about the Global South and India’s readiness for a greater global role, including UN Security Council reforms.
