The Indian Army intercepted an infiltration bid on the Line of Control (LoC) in the Gurez sector of Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the death of two terrorists. Simultaneously, a soldier was martyred while performing his duty in the Kupwara district. The operation was launched following intelligence inputs regarding a possible infiltration attempt, according to the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps. Upon spotting suspicious movement, soldiers confronted the infiltrators, triggering a shootout. The soldiers responded effectively, killing two terrorists. The search operation is still underway, with the possibility of more militants in the area. Additionally, a soldier lost his life during his duty in Kupwara. The Chinar Corps paid tribute to the valor and sacrifice of Havaldar Iqbal Ali, expressing solidarity with his family.
