Virendra Dev Dixit, accused of multiple serious offenses against women, was the subject of an investigation that extended to Nepal. He illegally confined women in his ashram and raped them, subsequently threatening them to suppress the incidents. He was accused of holding women captive in a fortress-like location, which was completely surrounded by barbed wire to prevent unauthorized access. This allowed him to perpetrate these heinous acts. Following numerous complaints, the Delhi Police registered an FIR and initiated an investigation. Two cases were against Virendra Dixit, while another involved a different accused person.
Authorities are now seeking to close the case in light of Dixit’s death. The CBI had issued look-out notices in 2018 and 2019. The court had also ordered investigations into other related cases, including missing persons and potential suicides.
