A tragic incident unfolded on Friday at a nursing home in Hooghly, West Bengal, where a nurse was found dead. The police discovered the woman’s body hanging inside the nursing home. The deceased, a 24-year-old, was found on the third floor of the nursing hostel in Singur. Her family members are alleging sexual assault and murder, stating she had raised concerns about irregularities within the nursing home’s operations. The nursing home management has refuted these accusations, attributing the death to suicide. The nurse had only recently started working at the facility, having joined just four days prior. Police are currently awaiting the autopsy report to guide their next steps. In a separate event, a bus accident in East Burdwan, West Bengal, claimed the lives of ten people and injured 25 others. Authorities reported that five of the injured are in serious condition. The victims were traveling from Ganga Sagar when the accident took place.
