Speaking in Brussels, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed the nature of the ongoing challenges, stating it’s not a matter of conflict between India and Pakistan, but rather a reaction to terrorism. He reiterated India’s firm policy against terrorism in all its forms and asserted the nation’s refusal to be intimidated by nuclear threats. In response to a query regarding the India-Pakistan situation, Jaishankar proposed a reevaluation of the context, encouraging a view of it as ‘India-Terroristan’ to fully grasp the emphasis on combating terrorism. Jaishankar underlined the importance of international collaboration in addressing terrorism, citing it as a shared and interconnected global concern. Discussions with Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, covered a range of global topics, including the situation in Europe, the Ukraine conflict, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, and the Indo-Pacific.
