In a significant operation, the Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency (SIA) executed raids in Jammu, Doda, and Handwara, North Kashmir. The raids were part of an investigation linked to FIR number 12/2022, probing cross-border funding through cryptocurrency. With the assistance of local police and magistrates, the SIA targeted financial conduits suspected of enabling terrorist activities and influencing young people against national interests. The agency recovered electronic devices, bank documents, and other materials. This seizure is considered a major step in uncovering the financial channels supporting terrorism in the region. The SIA is focused on curbing the use of cryptocurrency by terrorist groups to finance violence and promote radicalization.
