At the QS India Summit 2026 in Goa, O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) marked a significant milestone by entering into MoUs with 10 renowned universities from Canada, New Zealand, the UK, Egypt, and Thailand. This initiative propels JGU’s mission to create a truly global academic ecosystem.
Highlighted partners are Canada’s University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Royal Roads University, University of Guelph, and Brock University; New Zealand’s University of Otago; the UK’s University of Sheffield and University of Stirling; Egypt’s Delta University for Science and Technology; and Thailand’s Shinawatra University.
The agreements pave the way for vibrant exchanges of students and faculty, shared research endeavors, academic collaborations, and tailored initiatives that resonate with institutional priorities.
JGU’s portfolio of global ties now eclipses 600 partnerships spanning over 80 countries, empowering its members with superior prospects in international academia, research, and skill development.
Founder Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar articulated the era’s demand for such alliances. ‘In our linked world, they broaden educational and research scopes while fostering knowledge for public good,’ he observed, reaffirming JGU’s global dedication.
Prof. Padmanabha Ramanujam, Dean of Academic Governance and Student Life, focused on efficacy. ‘These MoUs establish a dependable platform for collaborations, with JGU guaranteeing top-tier implementation,’ he promised.
Prof. (Dr.) Akhil Bharadwaj, Vice Dean for International Affairs, spotlighted the forward momentum. ‘They herald new eras of study, exchanges, and joint offerings, nurturing lasting international relationships,’ he said.
The summit convened global education leaders to explore innovations, partnerships, and the pressing imperatives of worldwide higher learning.
