Armed Criminal Sohail Khan and Girlfriend Apprehended in Ranchi, Foiled Crime Attempt

Ranchi police successfully prevented a major criminal incident by arresting Sohail Khan, a known criminal, and his girlfriend, Nandini Samant, in the Chanho area. Acting on intelligence, officers initiated a vehicle check near Sos Chowk. Sohail Khan and Samant were found in a luxury car, and a search uncovered a loaded firearm, ammunition, and a substantial amount of cash. Authorities believe the pair were en route to commit a serious crime. Sohail, a resident of Garhwa, Jharkhand, is facing 12 active cases related to offenses such as theft, extortion, and NDPS violations. His alleged accomplice, Nandini, is from Dholpur, Rajasthan. Besides the car, police confiscated a loaded pistol, a magazine loaded with bullets, eight live rounds, 80,000 rupees in cash, gold rings, two mobile phones, and two ATM cards.
