A group of masked criminals carried out a violent robbery at the Tumdegi Church in the Muftussil police station area of Simdega district, Jharkhand. The group, numbering between 10 and 12 and armed with weapons, stole approximately 3.50 lakh rupees. The Dean and Assistant Priest of the church, Thomas Soreng and Emmanuel Baghwar, were assaulted when they attempted to intervene. They sustained serious injuries and were taken to the Sadar Hospital in Simdega for medical attention. The incident, which took place late Tuesday night, prompted a swift response from the local authorities, including the District SP. Police investigations are underway to identify and arrest the culprits.
