A heated confrontation between an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and a station clerk (Munshi) at the Dhurva police station in Ranchi resulted in the ASI being physically assaulted. The incident began after the ASI questioned the Munshi regarding the release of six suspects, who were previously detained for theft and snatching. The ASI, Sudin Ravidas, reported the incident to the SSP-cum-DIG, Chandan Kumar Sinha, accusing Munshi Uday Shankar Yadav of assault and inappropriate behavior. The conflict started following the release of six suspects out of 12 initially detained in connection to the historical Rath Mela held in the Dhurva police station area. The ASI, upon returning from duty, discovered the unauthorized release and confronted the Munshi, which led to the physical assault.
