Narendra Kumar Shukla, a resident of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, reported the theft of his elephant. He filed a complaint with the Palamu police. In his complaint, Narendra stated that he had received an elephant named Jayanti on a lease. He transported the elephant to Jharkhand’s Palamu district due to inadequate feeding arrangements in his village. He entrusted the elephant to mahouts Munna Pathak and Munna Pandey, also from Mirzapur, before returning home.
