Balram Munda, the Gram Pradhan of Kadehtubid village and a prominent BJP figure, was murdered in a brutal attack in the Khunti district. The incident took place on Saturday night, with armed assailants using firearms and sharp weapons. The attackers, estimated to be between 10 and 12 individuals, entered Munda’s home at approximately 11:30 PM and launched the assault. Munda’s nephew, Achu Munda, was also severely injured in the attack. The perpetrators were heard shouting and questioning Munda about his position as village head and his communication with the police before the fatal assault. After the murder, the attackers vandalized the house, damaging property before fleeing. The local police responded immediately, securing the crime scene and initiating an investigation. Authorities have detained several individuals and are actively pursuing leads to capture the remaining suspects. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, prompting calls for swift justice and enhanced security.
