An interactive counseling session focused on “Stress Management and Emotional Wellbeing” was successfully conducted at Sarla Birla University by its dedicated Mental Health Club. The university auditorium buzzed with engagement as students participated in this crucial initiative designed to elevate mental health awareness.
Expert speaker Ms. Tanushree Sengupta, a seasoned counselor from Army Public School, Ranchi, captivated the audience with her profound insights. Drawing from her rich professional background, she delved into key areas like mental health awareness, cultivating self-understanding, and developing emotional intelligence. Students received actionable strategies for navigating life’s hurdles with a positive outlook, strengthening their self-worth, ensuring emotional safety, promoting self-discovery, understanding social contexts, practicing effective self-regulation, and nurturing healthy relationships.
To make the learning both memorable and enjoyable, the session incorporated motivational video clips and fun, interactive exercises. The event was formally inaugurated by Dr. Neelima Pathak, Dean of the Faculty of Yogic Sciences & Naturopathy and head of the Mental Health Club, who welcomed attendees and wished them a Happy “World Students Day.” She reiterated the club’s unwavering dedication to fostering comprehensive student growth.
The proceedings drew to a close with a sincere vote of thanks from Dr. Priyanka Pandey, the club’s coordinator, who voiced her appreciation for Ms. Sengupta’s valuable contribution to the university.
