A five-member team from the Jharkhand Congress has been sent to Purnia, Bihar, to probe the murder of five tribal people who were burned alive. The incident, which occurred in the Tetgama Adivasi Tola area, is believed to be linked to accusations of witchcraft and sorcery. The team, headed by Bandhu Tirkey, will assess the situation and provide a detailed report. Tirkey took to social media to condemn the act, highlighting its cruelty and the vulnerability of the tribal community. He appealed to the Bihar government to ensure swift justice for the victims and prevent similar tragedies. The victims were allegedly killed after being accused of practicing witchcraft, following the deaths of several children in the village. Police have arrested three suspects in the case, which has sparked widespread condemnation and calls for justice.
