Double Homicide Rocks Lohardaga: Grandmother and Grandson Found Dead

A horrific double murder has sent shockwaves through Lohardaga. In Bhakso village, under Sadar police station, the bodies of a grandmother and her grandson were discovered. The victims, Ritesh Oraon, 16, and Barya Oraon, were found dead. Preliminary investigations suggest Ritesh was murdered by a throat cut with a ‘tangi’, while his grandmother was killed by suffocation. The crime is believed to have taken place late Wednesday night. The other residents of the house were asleep nearby and did not realize what had happened. Upon being notified, the Sadar police arrived at the scene, secured the bodies, and sent them to Sadar Hospital in Lohardaga for a post-mortem.
