Babulal Marandi, the Jharkhand BJP President, spoke at a gathering in Dhanbad to mark Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s 125th birth anniversary. He underscored Mukherjee’s fight against the Congress party’s politics of appeasement. Marandi described Dr. Mukherjee as a prominent nationalist thinker, visionary, educationist, and statesman who dedicated his life to the integrity of the nation. He stated that Mukherjee was the first leader in independent India to sacrifice his life for national unity and opposed the Congress party’s appeasement policies. Marandi highlighted Mukherjee’s foresight, recalling his contribution as Union Minister of Industry and the establishment of the Sindri fertilizer factory. He also mentioned Mukherjee’s strong opposition to Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. In Ranchi, the State Organization General Secretary, Karmveer Singh, remembered Dr. Mukherjee as a skilled organizer who opposed the policies in Jammu and Kashmir.
