In a scene straight out of a movie, a man in Jharkhand climbed a mobile tower and threatened to jump after a disagreement about property with his family. Ritesh Kumar Singh, a resident of Kotam village in Gumla district, scaled the 100-foot tower, causing panic among the villagers. The situation unfolded following a dispute involving Ritesh’s father and brother, with the argument escalating to the point where he assaulted his wife before taking the drastic action. Police were called to the scene and spent over three hours negotiating with him. After a lengthy effort, he was safely brought down, but suffered minor injuries in the process and required hospitalization. This incident echoed a previous event in Ranchi, where a man climbed an electricity tower due to a family quarrel.
