The plight of migrant workers from Jharkhand continues, with fifteen laborers from Giridih, Hazaribagh, and Dhanbad districts, including two from Bagodar block, currently stranded in Dubai. These workers, employed by Masai Contracting LLC since January 2024, are now seeking assistance to return home. Families back in Jharkhand are deeply worried. One worker’s wife, Kaushila Devi, reported that her husband went to Dubai on January 14, 2024, but has not received his salary for three months. This has created difficulties in providing for basic needs, and they are struggling to pay rent. The families are also facing challenges in agricultural activities and children’s education. The workers are sharing videos on social media to express their grievances and seek help from authorities. The families are appealing for government intervention to ensure the safe return of their loved ones and the recovery of their unpaid wages.
