A kutcha house in Hendediri Tola, Dubil village, located in the Chhotanagra Panchayat of Saranda, collapsed due to persistent rain. The structure, belonging to Surajmuni Champia, fell early Tuesday morning, around 4 AM. The collapse resulted in significant loss, including an almirah, a box, mobile phones, vital documents, and food items. The family is now without a home, having lost their shelter and cooking facilities. They are currently forced to live outdoors, exposed to the elements. The family has requested support and compensation from the district administration, the Circle Officer, and local panchayat representatives. Mukhiya Munni Devgam explained that many of the impoverished villagers in the area reside in kutcha houses with limited space. These houses are now facing danger due to the ongoing heavy rainfall across Saranda.
