Durga Puja Immersion Turns Violent in Chakradharpur: Seven Youths Attacked with Knives

Violence erupted in Chakradharpur, Chaibasa, during the Durga Puja immersion, as a group of assailants attacked seven young men. The attack, involving knives, took place during the immersion procession originating from the Harijan Basti pandal. The attackers, numbering around 15, fled the scene after the assault. One of the victims is reported to be in a critical state. The incident happened near the local police station. The attackers inflicted multiple stab wounds on the youths, leading to widespread panic. The injured individuals, including Dhruv Mukhi, Govinda Mukhi, Dinesh Mukhi, Rikki Mukhi, Atul Mukhi, Aman Mukhi, and Ajay Mukhi, are receiving medical attention. Rikki Mukhi’s condition is described as grave. All the injured are admitted to the Chakradharpur Railway Hospital for treatment.
