A tragic incident in Jharkhand’s Koderma district resulted in the death of a man who was filming videos with elephants. Saddam Ansari, a resident of Beldih village, was taking selfies and making reels with a herd of elephants in the Salaiya Pahari forest when one of the animals attacked. Ansari’s two companions managed to flee, but Ansari’s foot got entangled, causing him to fall. The elephant then trampled him. Local villagers tried to help and rushed him to a hospital. Ansari was then referred to Ranchi’s RIMS hospital but died on the way. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers associated with seeking social media popularity and the perils of approaching wild animals. Earlier in March, multiple villagers lost their lives in similar encounters with elephants in different districts of Jharkhand.
