A heart-wrenching event occurred in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, on Saturday night, as a family of three was found dead in an apparent suicide. The incident took place in the Nageshwar Enclave apartment in the Choria Toli area, under the jurisdiction of the Jagannathpur police station. Police have taken the bodies into custody and initiated a post-mortem examination. The deceased have been identified as Sanyukta Singh and her two minor children, a son approximately 14 years old, and a daughter around 12 years old. Sanyukta Singh was separated from her husband, Brijesh Singh. Reports indicate that the couple had a long-standing dispute, which was also being addressed in court. Brijesh Singh was residing in Bihar, while Sanyukta lived in the Ranchi apartment with their children. Locals suggest that the couple experienced not only domestic issues but also financial hardship. It is believed that Sanyukta, overwhelmed by these circumstances, took the extreme step along with her children. The discovery was made late Saturday when Brijesh Singh arrived at the apartment with supplies for the children. After repeated attempts to contact them, he alerted neighbors and contacted the police. Upon arrival, the Jagannathpur police broke down the door and found the bodies of Sanyukta Singh and her children hanging in the bedroom. The authorities immediately sealed the scene and called in a Forensic Science Lab (FSL) team for investigation. The FSL team gathered evidence, and the bodies were sent for a post-mortem. Police are currently investigating the matter, with initial assessments indicating suicide due to domestic conflict and financial difficulties. The community is deeply saddened by the incident, with the local population expressing profound shock. The police are currently questioning Brijesh Singh and his relatives to uncover the precise reasons behind the tragic events.
