In Palamu, Jharkhand, a father and son lost their lives after entering a well. The incident began when a ‘lota’ belonging to Jagat Rajwar, 60, fell into the well. His son, Munna Rajwar, 32, went in first to retrieve it, but did not come back. The father then followed, and both were later found dead inside the well. Police were alerted and, after a considerable effort, retrieved the bodies. Initial investigations point towards suffocation due to a lack of oxygen inside the well. The bodies were sent for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death. The family is devastated by the loss.
