Security forces at Tata Steel Works successfully intercepted an attempted theft, leading to the arrest of four individuals. The company’s security team acted quickly to prevent the illicit removal of valuable materials and transferred the suspects to the local police. Legal proceedings have commenced against the apprehended youths. The incident reportedly took place near 1 AM on Saturday during a routine patrol. Security personnel observed four men trying to carry away sacks of copper cable. The recovered copper cable weighed a substantial 690 kg, with an estimated market value of nearly 2 lakh rupees. The four men, identified as residents of the Garib Nawaz Colony and Gaushnagar in the Mango locality, were subsequently arrested. Security staff explained that their suspicion led to an immediate lockdown of the area, preventing the escape of the individuals with the stolen goods. The security team secured the cables and apprehended the culprits. Bistupur police were alerted and arrived at the scene to take custody of the four for processing. This intervention by the Tata Steel security highlights their diligence in safeguarding company assets and preventing major security breaches.
