Girl Drowns in Pond While Collecting Lotus Flower in Jharkhand

Hasita Das, a fifth-grade student, drowned in a village pond while trying to collect a lotus flower. The incident happened on a Sunday when she and her two friends were exploring the village. Witnessing a blooming lotus flower, Hasita was captivated and ventured into the pond. Sadly, she slipped and began to drown. Her friends quickly informed the villagers and Hasita’s family. Immediate rescue attempts were made, but tragically, the girl could not be saved.
