Concerns regarding alleged illegal religious conversions were raised with Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar by a delegation representing the Jharkhand Adivasi Sarna Vikas Samiti. The group submitted a memorandum to the Governor, outlining their grievances. A key point of contention was a tent erected by the Jharkhand Mahabhishek Church in Chand village, located in Tupu-dana police station. The committee stated that this operation, ongoing for a year without official permission, falsely promotes miraculous healing through prayer to Jesus for various ailments, including blindness, paralysis, and major diseases. The tribal committee suspects that these activities are a front for clandestine religious conversions.
