Grand Kali Puja Celebrated at Koderma’s Historic Temple

Jhumri Tilaiya, Koderma, vibrated with devotion as the Samanta Kali Mandir held its spectacular annual Kali Puja. For decades, this event has been a highlight for local devotees, and this year was no exception, with the temple grounds aglow with vibrant decorations. The tradition of celebrating Kali Puja here dates back to 1967, initiated by the late Gangadhar Samanta, a respected mica magnate and philanthropist. This year’s puja featured traditional rites and a powerful ‘havan’, drawing a substantial congregation of worshippers. Many women joined in the prayers, adding to the vibrant community spirit.
