A chilling discovery was made in Paneribandh village, Palamu, Jharkhand, as a young man’s body was retrieved from a septic tank of a house currently under construction. The victim, Sudama Thakur, was reportedly murdered with extreme violence, suspected to have been strangled and then struck with stones. His body was subsequently hidden in the tank’s water. Authorities have impounded a car found nearby. Post-mortem procedures are underway. Sudama Thakur, originally from Sahdeva village in Patan, resided in Paneribandh with his brother and sister-in-law and managed a salon in Shahpur. The news of his murder has caused widespread alarm in the region. Construction workers alerted the police on Friday after finding the body in the septic tank. Evidence at the scene suggests that Sudama was not alone and that a confrontation may have occurred, possibly involving intoxication. Investigators are seeking to reconstruct Sudama’s final movements, with his family stating he left to purchase groceries and did not reappear. The police are examining his phone records and scrutinizing the recovered vehicle for clues. The SHO of Chainpur police station has confirmed the recovery of the body and the nature of the injuries, assuring a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
