In a significant development, the ACB of Hazaribagh district arrested Dr. Satish Kumar, the in-charge of the Choupahran Community Health Center, on Tuesday. The arrest came after a complaint from Ujjwal Sinha, the operator of Mamta Vahan Seva, who alleged that Dr. Kumar demanded a bribe of 3,000 rupees in exchange for clearing 25,000 rupees worth of pending bills. After an initial investigation, the ACB found the accusations to be valid and acted accordingly. The doctor was caught in the act of accepting the bribe. The health department is now dealing with the fallout of this corruption case, which has become a hot topic of conversation in Choupahran and neighboring blocks.
