Chief Minister Hemant Soren attended the Karam Puja Mahotsav-2025 at the Ranchi Women’s College. He performed rituals at the Karam Dali and prayed for the welfare of Jharkhand’s residents. Soren highlighted that the community is deeply connected to its traditions and culture. He noted that all communities progress with their unique customs, and the tribal community’s celebration of the Karam festival exemplifies this. The Chief Minister praised the women for upholding the tradition, regardless of weather conditions. He described the Karam festival as a representation of the state’s rich culture, civilization, and way of life, reflecting the bond between siblings, social harmony, and reverence for nature. He further expressed hope that future generations would continue to cherish and strengthen this tradition, emphasizing its importance for the community. The event was attended by notable figures including Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Jharkhand Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey, and MLA Kalpana Soren.
