The Ranchi administration has decided to replace placement agencies with Home Guard personnel for managing government-run liquor stores. A letter from the Ranchi DC confirms this decision. The district has a network of 166 liquor outlets: 76 selling foreign liquor, 41 selling country liquor, and 49 composite shops. The move aims to streamline operations and potentially address issues associated with the previous management system.
