Malti Kumari, 28, was found dead after live-streaming her suicide on social media from her home in the Form Area of Kadma, East Singhbhum, on Friday. Her husband was at work and their children were at school when the tragedy unfolded at quarter number 16/19. The woman reportedly used her scarf to hang herself from a ceiling fan. The live video showed Malti blaming her husband, Sahdev Yadav, for ongoing disputes and harassment. Family members immediately took her to TMH, where medical professionals pronounced her dead. Malti and Sahdev Yadav had been married since 2013 and had two children. Sahdev Yadav is employed as a contract worker at Tata Steel. The deceased was originally from Giridih and her in-laws lived in Koderma, although she lived with her husband and children in Kadma. Kadma police, after viewing the live video, detained the husband for interrogation on Saturday. Following a post-mortem examination, the body was released to the family. The event has shocked both the family and the local populace.
