Jamshedpur: Husband’s Murder Leads to Wife and Lover’s Arrest

Authorities have apprehended Kiran Kujur and her alleged accomplice, Godwin Tirkey, in connection with the death of Julius Praveen Toppo in Birsa Nagar. The arrest follows an investigation into the suspicious death of Julius on February 24, 2023. The victim’s mother, Julia Toppo, had lodged a complaint accusing Kiran and Godwin of murder, citing their alleged extramarital affair as the cause of ongoing marital discord. The couple was in the process of a divorce, with a settlement agreement of Rs 10 lakh reached. Julius had already provided Rs 5 lakh to Kiran via a demand draft. On February 23, 2023, Julius was found in an unconscious state and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
