Jharkhand: 16 Naxals Neutralized in Saranda Jungle Op

A fierce encounter between security forces and Naxals in the West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand has resulted in the reported deaths of 16 insurgents. The gunfight took place in the Kumdi region within the Saranda forest, a primary stronghold for Maoist activities. The operation was initiated by security forces after receiving actionable intelligence about a significant gathering of rebels planning an offensive. The specialized teams engaged the group in the Kiriburu and Chotanagra forest limits, leading to a decisive victory for the law enforcement agencies.
