Jharkhand Braces for Heavy Rainfall as Yellow Alert is in Effect

A yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued by the weather department for multiple districts in Jharkhand. The alert anticipates significant rainfall today. Ranchi, the state’s capital, is predicted to receive light rainfall, for which no specific alert has been issued. The districts where the yellow alert is in place are Garhwa, Chatra, Palamu, Latehar, Deoghar, Giridih, Dhanbad, Jamtara, Dumka, Godda, Sahibganj, and Pakur. The forecast includes the possibility of heavy rain along with strong winds and thunderstorms in certain areas. The Meteorological Department attributes the weather to a cyclone affecting Bengal and Bihar, which is expected to cause heavy rainfall in these regions over the next day. Rainfall is expected in Ranchi on August 8.
