Jharkhand is now under the influence of the Southwest Monsoon, leading to the expectation of widespread rainfall. The weather department has issued warnings for heavy rain in multiple districts. While most districts are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall, the southern and central parts of the state are likely to face heavier precipitation. The forecast also includes the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in the northern regions, with wind speeds reaching 40-50 km/h. On June 18, the northeastern areas are also expected to experience heavy rainfall and strong winds in select northern districts. The capital city, Ranchi, witnessed light showers in the morning, contributing to a drop in the temperature, which reached 25 degrees Celsius.
