A shocking incident of armed robbery has shaken the Dumka district of Jharkhand. Naveen Rai, who runs a grocery store and hotel from his home in Arichuwa village, was the victim of a daring heist. On Monday night, five masked men arrived on motorcycles, entered Rai’s establishment, and demanded a cigarette. Following this, they pulled out a pistol, threatened the family, and took them hostage. The robbers made off with ₹2 lakh that Rai had saved for his daughter’s wedding, along with gold and silver jewelry, merchandise from the store, and 10 liters of petrol. The Gopeekandar police station has launched an investigation, exploring the possibility of the robbers being linked to previous hotel customers.
