The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has appointed Kuldeep Dwivedi, a distinguished Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the Jharkhand cadre, as a Joint Director. The Department of Personnel and Training issued the official notification on Tuesday. Dwivedi, currently serving as a DIG in the CBI, is a 2005-batch IPS officer. His term is scheduled to conclude on January 17, 2026, marking the end of his five-year deputation, or earlier if other directives are issued.
Additionally, C. Venkata Subba Reddy, an IPS officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre (2007 batch) and also serving as a DIG in the CBI, has been appointed as a Joint Director. His tenure will continue until October 29, 2029, or upon completion of his five-year deputation, or until further orders. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has sanctioned the appointments of the two senior IPS officers as Joint Directors within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), as stated in the notification released by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
