A shocking incident in the Saraiyahat police station area of Dumka district, Jharkhand, has led to the arrest of a man accused of murdering his father-in-law. The victim, Ravindra Kapri, was allegedly beaten to death by his son-in-law, Sudhir Yadav, following a dispute over a tractor. Yadav had been requesting a tractor as part of a dowry agreement, a request that Kapri had denied. On Friday, the disagreement escalated into a physical altercation, resulting in Kapri’s death. Police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and arrested Yadav. The incident has caused distress and grief within the local community.
